Come Boldly to God

"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace" (Hebrews 4:16). Boldness is certainly not arrogance nor pride. It is humble confidence and assurance in the grace of God. Bold access to God is by faith without doubt. With such faith God is pleased (Hebrews 11:6).

Come boldly to God with confidence and assurance in Christ. Coming boldly simply will not doubt. Boldly come to God by faith in the name of Jesus. "Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him" (Ephesians 3:11-12).

Bold access to God at the throne of grace is based on the finished work of Jesus Christ at the cross. It's based upon the shed blood of Jesus. Boldness is not self-confidence. To the contrary, it's confidence in Christ alone. Boldly come to God through Christ alone. "Therefore, bold faith enters the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way" (Hebrews 10:19).

Come boldly to God's throne of grace only and always in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. The price has been paid for us to have bold faith in God. It was paid in the blood of Jesus at the cross. Three days later, the Spirit of God raised Jesus from the dead. Our boldness is based upon the power of His resurrection.
