We abide in Christ through the three abiding gifts of the Holy Spirit. "And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love"(1 Corinthians 13:13). Now we abide by faith in Christ. You abide with hope in Christ for the future. You abide in the love of God through Christ forever (Romans 8:38-39).
We abide in Christ through the gifts of faith, hope and love. All who are born of the Spirit, through the gospel of Jesus Christ, experience these three gifts. These abiding gifts of the Holy Spirit are irrevocable. "For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable" (Romans 11:29).
We abide in Christ by faith that's time tested and proven. It will be mocked by the scoffer. It will be threatened by life situations. Nevertheless, faith that abides in Christ will not change with the times, break under pressure, nor fall into unbelief.
We abide in Christ by faith standing upon the truth of God. "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). Faith that abides in Christ is based upon Holy Scripture. The Bible is the testimony of the apostles and the prophets to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
