"We trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe" (1 Timothy 4:10). There is a sense in which God is the Savior of all people. Certainly, the Bible teaches that there is grace common to all people. God is patient to give people time to repent. However, God's patience certainly does not mean all will be saved.
God is the Savior "especially of those who believe." That's a particular people who shall repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21, 28). They are sure to be saved. In reality, they know God personally as their Savior from sin and condemnation. They trust in the living God.
"We trust in the living God" who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father determined to save all who believe through his eternal purpose. The God-Man, Christ Jesus our Lord, was sent by the Father to die a sacrificial death for sinners. God the Holy Spirit raised the Son of God from the grave (Romans 1:4).
Is God your Savior? You can confidently say yes, if you "trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe." To trust in him is to believe in him. That means you take God at his word. All who know God as their Savior can say, "We trust in the living God."
