God has revealed His eternal power in this world He created. For someone to look at the sky and the earth and say that nothing created all things is utter nonsense. "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead" (Romans 1:20).
There is absolutely no excuse to deny the Creator. God has revealed to all of us His great power in creation, "so that they are without excuse, because although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God" (Romans 1:21). The chief end of man is to glorify God, "because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them" (Romans 1:19).
When people and nations ignore the eternal power of God in creation, they "become futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened" (Romans 1:21). Their hearts are lifted up in pride. "Professing to be wise, they became fools" (Romans 1:22). They know God's power in creation, but they suppress the truth. As a result, "the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men" (Romans 1:18).
The only solution is God's saving grace, through the power of the Gospel in Christ (Romans 1:16). When we know the power of God through the Gospel, we become a new creation in the Lord Jesus Christ. That is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes.
