Your Salvation Is Sure

Your salvation is sure based upon God's covenant promises for believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. God has sworn with an oath that Jesus Christ is our High Priest forever (Hebrews 7:21-25). He saves you as a believer to the uttermost, from beginning unto the end. He forgives all your sins. He lives forever to make intercession for you.

In Bible days, when two or more people entered into a covenant, they made promises sworn with an oath. Those entering the covenant raised their right hand and made their promises to each other. They were swearing with an oath in the name of the LORD God. He was the witness to their promises.

God has sworn with an oath concerning His covenant promises in the Bible. God has lifted His righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). His promises cannot be broken. They are everlasting, according to the everlasting covenant, sworn with an oath. You are standing by faith on the promises of God that cannot fail.

Your sure salvation is sure in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). Christ is the surety of God's promises (Hebrews 7:22). A surety is a guarantee. Christ is the guarantee of the covenant promises of God. The guarantee is the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. His death at the cross and glorious resurrection is every believer's guarantee. Believe God's covenant promises in Christ now and always. By God's oath, they cannot be broken.
