Jesus taught that prayer submits to God's will. We pray to God our Father, Your kingdom come. Your will be done. Kingdom prayer is not about our will being done. Kingdom prayer is asking God's will be done. You are asking for God's kingdom to come. And what is the kingdom of God? For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). The kingdom of God brings righteousness, peace, and joy into our lives.
Kingdom prayer submits to God's will being done in every situation. That's your prayer for the Spirit of God to overcome evil in your life. You are asking for God's kingdom to come and will to be done. You are praying that the Spirit of God will come in righteousness, joy, and peace in your life through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus taught his disciples to pray the kingdom prayer, also known as the Lord's prayer. The focus of His teaching was on the kingdom of God, and that includes our prayers. So, we should pray to our Father in heaven, Your kingdom come, Your will be done. God's kingdom comes when the will of God is done.
The kingdom of darkness is in this present evil age and the evil one. Satan and the powers of darkness are defeated in our lives when God's kingdom comes in power. Light defeats darkness every time. We should pray to God our Father, Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10). Kingdom prayer submits to God's will.
