Christ Is Risen for Us

The tomb is empty. Christ the Lord is risen! He is risen indeed. The empty tomb is still there, but Christ is risen, ascended into heaven, and exalted at God the Father's right hand. Death could not keep its prey. He's alive! Christ died for us, that we can live for him. Christ is risen to save all who believe.

Christ is risen to save us from the law of sin and death. Only a living Savior can save us. He died for all our sins. He is risen from the dead to save us. If anyone wants to be saved from the condemnation of sin and everlasting punishment, the Lord Jesus is alive to save believers. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13). Call upon him to save you. Christ lives for us!

Christ is risen as every believer's High Priest, now at the Father's right hand in heaven. There are no perfect Christians. When believers sin, we have a merciful and faithful High Priest in Jesus our Lord. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (First John 1:9). He's alive. Confess your sins to him. He will forgive you and cleanse you.

Christ is risen to give believers mercy and grace. He knows our needs. Call upon the Lord. He's alive. He will hear your cry for help. "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16). Christ our risen Lord is the fullness of grace. His grace is sufficient for all who believe in him.
